Everyone Has a Story
If you followed my previous blog, How To Be An Inspiration you may have wondered why it tailed off and what happened next. Over the next few posts, I shall endeavour to catch you up with the relevant goings-on over the last five years. But why start a new blog now?
Well, firstly I’ve missed blogging. I’m a writer by heart and it’s been frustrating not to have a voice (both figuratively and literally – but we’ll come to that). To write anything I used to use an iPad, picking out each letter on the on-screen keyboard with a stylus, a physically tiring and laborious process that, over time, became just too exhausting and time-consuming. But as both technology and my condition progressed, I find myself in a different situation, one which presents me with both the time and the means to blog again.
Secondly, a tragic event has occurred which has made me realise that life is precious and it is short. My younger brother Mark died in August of pneumonia as a result of complications arising from muscular dystrophy. Our family asked me to write the eulogy and to read it at the funeral. In writing about Mark, I realised I still had a lot to say.
So, I hope you’ll join me with Every Breath I Take.
